Longest Resident at Cat Shelter Steals Hearts of Visitors

Poes Bailey was adopted when she was still young. For six years, she lived with people, but then she was brought back to the shelter from where she came. Her bosses had enough of her.

It was in March 2013, six years after she was first adopted, that she returned to the shelter.

This time she stayed at the shelter for five years.

But on a beautiful day in 2018, she found a permanent home again. This time it was a woman who entered the shelter and specifically asked for the oldest cat in the shelter. The cat that had been there the longest.

The shelter staff immediately knew that the cat would fit perfectly with her new owner.

The beautiful long-haired cat Bailey had lost five more years of her life by living in a shelter. She was enjoying it there, but she certainly was not friends with the other cats. This is written by Love Meow.

So when Bailey was adopted again, everyone was very happy. The shelter wrote this on their Facebook page:

β€œShe looks very happy in this picture. We can only imagine how happy she must have been after waiting 1806 days for a home. Her new mom has already told us that Bailey is already feeling at home.”

β€œI just want to tell you how happy we are with Bailey. Thank you for helping her find us! She wasn’t inside for five minutes before she started purring and rubbing against everything she could see.”

According to her owner, she slept on a pillow the first night.

β€œIt took years for our sweet princess to find her forever home, and we are so happy that she can finally live happily,” they concluded.
