The wedding, held in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, saw guests relax and indulge in the celebratory atmosphere, disregarding precautions.

Amidst the joy of the moment, the couple embraced and interacted closely with guests, neglecting safety measures.

Subsequently, the event escalated with guests removing masks, dancing energetically, laughing, shouting, and taking numerous photos, all evident in Twitter videos.

200 guests without official approval

Post-ceremony, attendees relocated to a neighborhood for an extended celebration, totaling 200 guests—an act sternly discouraged by the Ministry of Health to avert COVID-19 spread.

Javier Alcantara, a local politician, confirmed the event took place without authorization.

“Spreading their love”

Subsequently, the impromptu gathering led to further coronavirus infections. Alcantara urged attendees to adhere to COVID-19 protocols and self-isolate pending test results.

A piece titled “Spreading their love” in Sierra Madre newspaper circulated globally, drawing attention to the incident.

Town Mayor Miguel de Hoyos condemned the event, stating:

This is utterly irresponsible. These actions lack consideration for our vulnerable populations, notably the elderly. It reflects selfishness at the expense of frontline workers—nurses, police, delivery personnel,” he voiced on Twitter.

Let this serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of adhering to safety measures. Share widely to combat the pandemic collectively.
