Miracle Pup: The Happiest Dog in the World Defies the Odds

Dogs with disabilities and medical problems often face challenges in life, risking euthanasia or abandonment by owners.

Every dog, as long as they are not in pain, deserves a chance at a happy and fulfilling life.

One such story is of a disabled dog who not only thrived but became known as the “happiest dog in the world!”

In 2016, Jennifer Osborne encountered a unique-looking dog named Moose in a pet store, characterized by a big smile and a significant underbite.

She soon discovered that Moose’s distinctive appearance was due to a rare medical condition – he was born missing parts of his brain.

“Moose’s nose was pushed into his skull, resulting in the underbite, crooked nose, deformed skull, brain abnormalities, and eye issues, likely stemming from his time in the womb,” Jennifer revealed to Metro.

Touched by his plight and fearing he might be euthanized due to his medical complexities, Jennifer decided to adopt Moose and provide him with a loving and safe home.

Moose suffered from frequent seizures: “These seizures impact his body and brain, causing his entire body to shake and foaming at the mouth,” Jennifer described.

An examination revealed the extent of Moose’s conditions, showing the absence of a forehead and sinuses, along with a cyst in the brain’s affected area.

“While his frontal brain is malformed, the rest of his brain functions normally,” Jennifer shared on Instagram.

“Moose’s neurologist admitted to never encountering a case like his before.”

Although Moose would continue to experience seizures throughout his life, medication could manage them without impacting his life expectancy.

Jennifer remains steadfast in facing the challenges ahead, grateful for Moose’s presence in her life, emphasizing his joyful and playful nature despite his adversities.

“Given Moose’s journey, we consider ourselves incredibly fortunate that he is still with us. He is undeniably a miracle,” she expressed to Metro.

Moose tackles each day with a beaming smile, seemingly appreciative of every moment he has.

“He is remarkable and a true blessing in my life,” Jennifer remarked. “Moose is the happiest dog I’ve ever encountered, and I feel privileged to have him by my side.”
