A couple from Maryland was shocked to discover blisters on their 6-month-old baby’s feet.
Initially unsure of the cause, they soon realized that the blisters were burns and contacted the authorities as they worsened.
It was evident that the person responsible for these burns was the individual who was with the baby before the parents noticed the blisters.
The Washington Post disclosed that the caretaker, Ismelda Ramos-Mendoza, 36, faced charges of child abuse.
Detective Charles Earle revealed that the babysitter burned the baby’s feet in response to the infant’s crying.
In a fit of frustration, she used a griddle pan, typically used for making tortillas, on the baby’s feet, as reported by The Washington Post.
The 36-year-old woman had been a nanny for 1 to 2 years prior to this disturbing incident in March, prompting an investigation into her interactions with other children.
