Serious Consequences
It all started when Heather changed the diaper of her 10-week-old son Jacob. He was behaving as usual, but when she took off his clothes, she made a terrible discovery.
Two of the boy’s small toes were completely bruised and purple, with some kind of mark indicating that something was wrapped tightly around them.
Heather looked closer and soon realized that one of her hairs had wrapped around the boy’s toes and cut off circulation.
Heather immediately removed her hair and took her son to the hospital to make sure there were no serious injuries. It turned out that a small hair had the potential to have big consequences… much bigger than many of us could imagine at least.
Wants to Warn Others
According to Relay Hero, the doctor who examined Heather’s son said they could have been forced to amputate both toes. Especially if the hair had stayed there longer.
Fortunately, the hair on Jacob’s toes was discovered in time, and he escaped extensive care.
After the incident, Heather took to social media to warn others about the hidden danger.
“CHECK YOUR BABY’S TOES AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN!!! And if you have a boy, even his PENIS. Yes, I said penis… they are such tiny babies and our hair can be such a danger, but it’s something we never really pay attention to… so please share this with all your mom friends with little babies!!!!”
