Meet Pebbles, the world’s oldest living dog.
She is a sweet and gentle American toy fox terrier who has had a beautiful life with her loving owners Bobby and Julie Gregory in Taylors, South Carolina.
She got a dog-friendly cake for her birthday, but otherwise she lives on a healthy diet, writes animal website The Dodo.
But recently, Pebbles caused quite a stir.
Why? According to the Guinness Book of World Records, she is the oldest living dog on earth.
Pebbles was born on March 28, 2000, and on the registration date of May 17 of this year, she was 22 years and 50 days old.
Since one dog year is about equal to seven human years, Pebbles’ age is equivalent to 154 human years!
Here the dog poses with the certificate she received from the Guinness Book of World Records when it was announced that she is the oldest living dog in the world.
Congratulations on the award, Pebbles! We wish you and your owners all the best!
