Life can be challenging for pets with physical limitations, needing extra love and care. Sadly, some pets get abandoned by their owners.
However, there are compassionate individuals who step up to help animals in need, like this boy who used creativity to improve a dog’s life.
Gracie, a dog, had a rough start after being abandoned as a puppy. Found in poor condition covered in maggots, she had no front legs due to a birth defect.
Rescued and adopted by Tammy Turley’s family, Gracie found a new home and a chance at a better life.
Despite her disability, Gracie remained joyful and energetic, using her strong hind legs to move around.
To help Gracie move safely, Tammy enlisted the help of Dylan, a 12-year-old boy, who built a LEGO wheelchair for the dog.
Surprisingly, Dylan successfully created a colorful and fully functional wheelchair using only plastic LEGO bricks.

When Gracie outgrew the LEGO wheelchair, Dylan quickly built her new ones as she grew. In total, he made three different wheelchairs for her.
Eventually, Gracie received a real wheelchair as a gift when fully grown, but she will always remember the special LEGO wheelchairs made for her.
Now able to move freely and play with other dogs, Gracie’s story is a reminder to never give up on animals with disabilities—they just need some extra support.
Gracie has faced many challenges, but now enjoys a happy life! Thanks to everyone who contributed!
