Prince William’s Hilarious Encounter: New Footage of Royal’s Funny Interaction with Young Fan

Prince William holds the title of the Prince of Wales, but some schoolchildren in England have trouble distinguishing him from his father, King Charles. This recently led to a humorous moment that was caught on camera.

New Footage of Prince William Emerges

During a royal visit in late January, a young fan came face to face with Prince William. “Hello, are you the king?” the young boy asked the prince. Without missing a beat, William leaned in and replied, “No, that’s not me, no. I’m his son.” The heartwarming interaction led to a selfie moment between William and the young boy named Mohammed. “Say cheese!” Mohammed exclaimed to the prince. Prince William, the next in line to the throne, shares a close bond with his father, King Charles. During a concert held following Charles’ coronation in May 2023, William took the stage to offer a tribute to his father. He expressed, “As my grandmother said when she was crowned, coronations are a declaration of our hope for the future. I know she is watching us lovingly from above. She would be a very proud mother,” and added, “Dad, we are all so proud of you.”

A Challenging Time for Prince William

Recently, Jason Knauf, William’s aide, disclosed that the prince hit a low point after receiving the double diagnosis of cancer in both his father and his wife, Kate Middleton. “Within a few weeks, he found out both his wife and his father have cancer. And that is, I couldn’t believe it,” Knauf revealed on 60 Minutes Australia. “It was terrible, absolutely terrible, it was the lowest I have ever seen him.”

King Charles shared his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, and a source from Buckingham Palace confirmed late last year to Town & Country: “His treatment has progressed positively, and as a controlled condition, the treatment cycle will continue next year.” After meeting Donald Trump in December, Prince William revealed Trump’s update: “I asked about his wife and he said she’s doing well. And I asked about his father and his father is very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad.”
