Not everyone enduring quarantine alone has easy access to groceries, leading to feelings of loneliness.
But there’s a hero in the form of a brown Labrador in Medellin, Colombia, who steps up by delivering groceries to neighbors’ homes.
The 8-year-old Labrador collects groceries from stores in a brown basket and delivers them to people in the neighborhood using a basket he carries in his mouth.
Neighbors are always delighted to see him on his delivery rounds, even though he sometimes gets distracted.
Confused by Small Puppies
“Sometimes, when he encounters small puppies, he gets confused, stops to sniff and pee, but he always reaches his destination,” says Eros’ owner Mauricio Lopez, as reported by Caracol News.
One neighbor even mentioned that dogs are smarter than people.
“It’s amazing because despite the lockdown during this pandemic, thanks to this dog, we can still have our necessary groceries,” said neighbor Maria Botero.
She added, “Many people wonder if he eats the food, but no, he doesn’t. He is very well-mannered, delivering everything neatly to our doorstep.”
All Eros asks for in return is a pat on his head before continuing on his daily rounds.
