There are numerous stories about animals facing mistreatment or difficult situations across the world.
While some of these stories don’t end well, there are heartwarming tales where animals are rescued from their plight.
However, what we rarely hear about are instances where animals end up saving humans.
In Argentina, a baby girl was abandoned on the street by her mother on a cold night, putting her chances of survival at risk.
While searching for food, a stray dog with newborn puppies heard the baby crying and instinctively intervened.
The dog carried the baby to where her puppies were, protecting and warming them through the night, as reported by CNN.
Early in the morning, a passerby named Alejandra Griffa heard the baby’s cries, which led her to discover the miraculous scene.
Alejandra promptly took the baby to the hospital, where it was found to be remarkably healthy despite minor injuries.
The heroic dog, named Way, acted instinctively to save the infant that fateful night.
Eventually, the young mother of the baby was found and received medical and psychological assistance at a hospital, opting to remain silent about the incident.
As for Way and her puppies, their fate remains unknown, but one can only hope that they find caring nurturers, mirroring the compassion Way showed to the baby.
