When Cameroon Mares had to undergo cancer treatment, she had to bid farewell to her loyal companion, her dog.
Upon returning home, Cameroon discovered that her precious puppy had mysteriously disappeared.
Cameroon tirelessly searched for her canine friend every single day. She placed ads in newspapers, distributed flyers, contacted veterinarians and shelters, but sadly, with no success. According to Animal Channel.

Despite all efforts, the dog’s whereabouts remained unknown.
“I posted ads on Facebook, hoping that someone would call to inform me of finding him because he was microchipped and registered to me for 3 years. However, no one knew his location,” she shared with The Dodo.
Driven by her deep longing for her pet, Cameroon resorted to hiring a private investigator.
Fortunately, this decision proved fruitful as the dog was eventually located. Shockingly, it turned out that Cameroon’s housemate had sold the dog to another woman!
On April 30, 2016, Cameroon reported her dog missing. During this time, the new owner had re-registered the dog’s microchip under her name. Regrettably, she failed to verify if the dog had a previous owner registered.
The unsuspecting new owners were unaware that the dog was stolen and that Cameroon was desperately searching for him. They claimed to have legally purchased the dog for $200 and had cared for him for two years.
Despite the ordeal, Cameroon was joyously reunited with her beloved furry companion.
It’s heartbreaking that the new family was unknowingly involved in a stolen dog situation. Thankfully, Cameroon and her loyal companion are now happily reunited!
It took some time for the dog to adjust to his rightful owner, but with patience, he regained his cheerfulness. Remarkably, the dog even remembered some tricks he had learned from Cameroon.
