Children are our most valuable gifts – and parents know exactly how far they would go to protect their child from potential dangers in the world. In any case where someone deliberately does something terrible that could harm our child, we quickly become angry.
But when it comes to something as standard as changing a diaper – no parent can imagine that it could harm a child… Or can it? Unfortunately, a mother who recently wanted to change her son in a public place recently learned the hard way that one must always be vigilant, even in the most unexpected scenarios.
Hayley Turner was out with her 1-year-old son Samuel when he needed a diaper change.
But as soon as Hayley laid him on the table, he started screaming. This was in no way uncommon, as Samuel often cried quite a bit when being changed. But mother Hayley soon realized that there was more going on. She turned him over and inspected him – and then she discovered that his back was full of red spots.
A real monster had placed thumbtacks on the bottom of the changing mat, so that the sharp points were sticking out and into Samuel’s back. There wasn’t just one, but five needles had pierced Samuel’s skin.
Who could be so cruel as to do such a thing to an innocent child?
Hayley doesn’t often post on Facebook, but because she felt that this was absolutely important to spread, she decided to go to social media to explain what had happened. Her post has since been shared by the thousands.
