Some nurses and doctors currently fighting on the frontline against the coronavirus are literally sacrificing their lives to save other people.
Lisa Ewald, the Selfless Nurse Who Passed Away Alone from COVID-19
One of those heroes is Lisa Ewald, an emergency room nurse with 20 years of experience from Detroit, Michigan. It is with great sorrow that we report her passing due to COVID-19.

Lisa Ewald, who would have celebrated her 54th birthday, tragically passed away alone at home. Her niece, Carly Ewald, reminiscing about her late aunt, shared, “She cared more about others than herself.”

Despite her own health struggles, Lisa continued to serve on the front lines until she fell ill with COVID-19. The heartbreaking reality of her passing alone serves as a stark reminder of the sacrifices made by frontline healthcare workers.
Expressing their condolences, Henry Ford Hospital stated, “Our testing of staff strictly follows CDC guidelines, testing staff only when symptomatic.”
Lisa Ewald’s story highlights the profound dedication and selflessness of healthcare workers worldwide. Let us honor her memory and the countless others who have risked their lives during this challenging time.
There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am to all the nurses. You have sacrificed more than we will ever know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I hope that when this nightmare is over, there will be some kind of national celebration for the heroes of our country. Share this story if you agree with me!
