A Shocking Case of Child Abuse Leads to Parents’ Arrest – You Won’t Believe What Police Found

The Horrifying Discovery

Every parent feels uncertain in the beginning. If you’re not used to young children, it’s normal to feel nervous when you have your first child. How often should you feed your baby? How do you change diapers? Why won’t the baby stop crying?

Most concerns resolve themselves. You get to know your child and quickly adapt to parenthood. If you have questions, you can always turn to experts, doctors, or experienced family members.

However, in this case, things went terribly wrong. A couple from Oklahoma, USA, clearly had no idea how to handle their parenting responsibilities.

Instead of seeking help and asking for advice, they kept trying to ‘care’ for their twin girls – and it almost cost the girls their lives.

The girls were 9 months old when authorities discovered the situation in December. It had escalated to the point where the parents had taken their children to the hospital. The staff at the Oklahoma Urgent Care Center were shocked when they saw the girls.

The children weighed half of what they should have and appeared skeletal, according to the Daily Mail.

The girls were dirty and had bleeding eczema. When doctors removed one of the girls’ diapers, they found maggots in it. They even discovered feces in one of the girls’ ears.

The other girl had locks of hair wound around her fingers that had been there so long that her finger had become infected.

Kevin Fowler, 25, and Aislyn Miller, 24, were arrested on child abuse charges over the weekend.

The mother’s excuse for the condition of their children was that she and her husband had no experience in parenting. She also mentioned not having health insurance and therefore not being able to afford proper care. They had not visited a doctor since the birth.

But ignorance is not a valid excuse for child abuse. The police arrested the parents, and the babies were immediately taken into the care of local child services. An extended family member was also arrested as she had seen the children often without reporting their condition to the authorities.

Upon searching the house, the police found an environment not suitable for children. Cat feces were on the walls, and they found maggots in the children’s play area.

The police described it as the worst form of child abuse they had ever seen, as reported by Tulsa World.

Fortunately, the girls were discovered before it was too late. Since December, they have been receiving proper care and are doing much better. Let’s hope they find a family that can care for them properly!

This should never happen. No child should be subjected to such horrors. Do not hesitate to report child abuse if you ever see anything suspicious!
