Simon Cowell’s Surprise Guest: A Rescued Dog from the Slaughterhouse

Simon Cowell, known for his tough persona on shows like American Idol and America’s Got Talent, demonstrates a heart of gold when it comes to animals.

Cowell took a stand against the barbaric practice of dog slaughterhouses and meat markets by using his own funds to support shutting them down.

In 2018 Cowell donated £25,000 (about €30,000) to Humane Society International to aid in closing a dog meat factory in South Korea, saving over 200 dogs in the process.

This act of kindness was brought to life when Cowell witnessed the impact of his donation firsthand.

During an episode of Good Morning Britain, host Pip Tomson spoke with Cowell about his efforts to combat the dog meat trade.

“It’s like eating your friend,” Cowell remarked.

Tomson then surprised Cowell with a special guest – her own puppy, one of the dogs rescued from the slaughterhouse.

Cowell lifted the dog, emphasizing the importance of closing these markets and finding loving homes for rescued dogs.

“Without people like you, he would have ended up in someone’s stomach,” Cowell expressed.
