Stolen Car with Kids Inside – Mother Takes Unthinkable Action

Millions of Americans were busy celebrating the country’s biggest national holiday: July 4th, Independence Day. Amidst all the excitement and festivities, Michelle Booker-Hicks stopped at a gas station in Dallas to fill up her car.

Her two sons were in the back of the car, two sweet boys, a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old. And although this was supposed to be a day of celebration, their day suddenly turned into a terrible and tumultuous hell.

Around 10 p.m., Michelle Booker-Hicks stopped at a gas station somewhere in Dallas. Her two children were in the back seat. She went to fill up her car, then went inside the shop to pay. At that moment, she saw through the shop window an unknown man, 36-year-old Ricky Wright, getting into the driver’s seat of her car.

When Michelle realized what was happening, she rushed back to her car and jumped into the back seat next to her children, as reported by Fox4.

Shot intruder in the face

“I jumped right on the back seat next to my two sons and demanded the man to stop and to immediately get out of the car. He refused, and stayed seated. He turned around and looked at me,” said Michelle.

“As quickly as I could, I leaned forward to the glove compartment at the passenger seat, shortly after I fired a shot from the glove compartment.”

Michelle claims she only fired once, as a warning to scare Wright away. However, she ended up shooting him in the face.

“I’m not a killer but I will always defend what’s mine,” the mother snapped. “I hope I taught him a lesson.”

After firing the shot, Wright stumbled to a fence near the McDonald’s next to the gas station. He had staggered out of the car and collapsed when the police arrived. He was then taken to the hospital for treatment.

The 36-year-old suspect faces charges of kidnapping and vehicle theft.

Fortunately, Michelle and her children survived the incident unharmed.
