However, for mother Amanda Cropsey Florczykowski, a particular encounter at a store made her realize that sometimes strangers may have ulterior motives when engaging with parents. Now, she is sharing her story to caution other parents.

“During lunchtime, I stood in line at the local store with my daughter. The couple ahead of us initiated a typical conversation about how ‘adorable your daughter is’ and persistently inquired about her age. Initially, I attributed it to a possible cultural difference, but I started feeling uneasy due to the woman’s behavior around my children,” Amanda shared on Facebook.
