Struggling to Conceive for 8 Years – Woman Nearly Faints When Doctor Reveals Ultrasound

When Beata Bienias and her husband Powell tried to conceive for eight years, they were convinced that it might never happen.

Struggling with Infertility

It turned out that Beata has polycystic ovary syndrome, which can make getting pregnant a challenge. Moreover, she was overweight, and doctors advised her to try to reduce her weight.

However, even after losing 35 kilos, nothing changed.

Eventually, the couple turned to IVF treatment as a last resort. Doctors warned them not to have sex during the process, but Beata and Powell made an exception on her birthday.

Doctors implanted the embryos and shortly after, Beata was told she was pregnant! After years of struggling, making sacrifices, and enduring countless challenges, it finally happened! The pure excitement overwhelmed her and she felt like she was on cloud nine.

She had no idea a big surprise was waiting for her when she went for her ultrasound…

Beata and her partner had prayed that at least one of the embryos would survive, but they still went to the ultrasound with fear in their hearts.

When they arrived at the doctor’s office, both she and her husband eagerly awaited their first prenatal scan. As the sonographer carefully studied the scan, a surprising turn was awaiting them. The technician, with a serious demeanor, turned to Beata’s husband and kindly suggested he sit down.

It turned out what the technician was about to tell them would change their lives forever. Beata was pregnant. Not with one baby, but with three!

Unexpected Triplets

“We were both in shock and looking at the monitor in disbelief, wondering who had placed [three babies] in there,” Beata said.

“I immediately called my mom and then I started crying and said: ‘There are three in me.’

However, an even greater surprise was waiting. Upon further examination, it turned out that only one of the embryos had been implanted, meaning the twins were conceived naturally.

Beata said: “This is so ironic after trying for so long, and when we got the treatment, we were naturally pregnant.”

While it is a rare occurrence, Beata’s phenomenon is not entirely unheard of. It is possible for a woman to become pregnant naturally during an IVF treatment while simultaneously having an implanted embryo.

Healthy and Happy

Beata gave birth to Amelia, Matylda, and Borys when she was 34 weeks pregnant, and all three were able to leave the hospital after just one week.

“It can be tough and intense, but it’s more than 100 percent worth it,” Beata says.

“I’m tired after a night, but when I look at these little faces, my heart melts.”
