In Indiana, a man named Bob made a disturbing discovery a year ago.
He found a dog with its mouth taped shut, realizing the urgency of the situation. Bob rushed the dog to the Griffith animal hospital.
After removing the tape, the veterinarians were shocked by what they found.
The poor dog had severely matted fur, indicating that the tape had been on for several days, as reported by Paw My Gosh.
At the hospital, the staff witnessed the dog whimpering during treatment.
“We strive to assist every living being. The cruelty displayed by someone nearby is unfathomable. Who could do this to an innocent pup?” the hospital shared on Facebook.
The dog was given the name Louie. Upon arrival, Louie was emaciated but not dehydrated, with a normal temperature. It was presumed that Louie was used as a pet and then callously abandoned.
The staff expressed their outrage towards the perpetrator.
“The individual behind this despicable act will face the consequences. Such lack of compassion and humanity will not go unpunished,” the hospital posted on Facebook.
“The silver lining is that this little pup will make a full recovery. He missed out on love before, but we will shower him with care until he’s back to health. He will experience the joys of a happy life,” the hospital assured.
The team also extended their gratitude to everyone involved in Louie’s care.
Fortunately, Louie has now found a loving family where he is thriving and receiving the affection he deserves!
One day, Louie’s new guardian took him to the animal hospital. There, they encountered Bob, the man who rescued Louie. In a heartwarming moment, Louie recognized Bob and joyfully showered him with affection.
