A teacher’s role is to provide support to their students, irrespective of their abilities.
We all possess unique talents and characteristics, and destructive criticism serves no one. This is especially crucial when working with young children...
A father’s critique of his son’s math teacher has triggered an uproar on social media, with thousands calling for the teacher’s dismissal.
Following the grading of his math test, the teacher had inscribed “downright pathetic” on it.
Upon returning home, the student showed the test to his father. Alongside “downright pathetic,” the teacher had also noted “answered 13 questions in 3 minutes,” accompanied by a sad emoji.

Father Chris confronted the teacher regarding the specific comment and its benefit to his child.
Her response was: “I’m sorry you feel that way,” as reported by Chris.
Chris took to Facebook to express his dissatisfaction:
“My son Kamdyn’s teacher has been very rude to us. He came home with this test, and I am extremely frustrated that such comments were made on a child’s work. What kind of motivation is this!”
Kamdyn expressed to Fox56 News: “This made me very sad and angry. I was really furious. And it was also just very mean to do something like that.”
Chris’ post from a year ago garnered over 1000 comments, with reactions ranging from shock to support for the teacher based on the student’s performance.
A petition was launched advocating for the teacher’s dismissal, amassing over 20,000 signatures.

Another petition emerged advocating for the teacher to retain her job, citing acknowledgment of fault without warranting job termination, and gathered 1,000 signatures.
Chris later mentioned being unaware of the school’s actions in this instance but disclosed that his child had been transferred to a different school since then.
“Hopefully, this issue will be addressed seriously this time, and such incidents will not recur,” Chris conveyed according to Fox56 News.
