The high number of deaths in overheated cars in the United States is alarming. While many of the deaths in these scenarios happen accidentally, the intent is sometimes much more sinister than you might initially think.
This incident made people shudder at how heartless a parent can be towards their own child…
19-year-old Landon Parrott from Ohio brought his unresponsive baby to the emergency room at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in New Philadelphia.

When authorities conducted a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of the child, the teenage father could only provide conflicting information, immediately raising suspicion.

Clearly not an accident
The boy, identified by his mother’s girlfriend as Kyler Parrott, was left in the car for 5 hours. Although his father initially claimed the child’s death was an accident, he retracted his statement after surveillance footage proved otherwise.
The footage showed Parrott leaving his home with baby Kyler around 8:30 a.m. and only returning around 1:50 p.m. He told investigators that he was aware of how dangerous it can be to leave children in overheated cars, but he didn’t act on it because he “didn’t want to be bothered.”
In a press release from Michael Goodwin, chief of the New Philadelphia police, it stated that “the child died after being left unattended in the car for about 5 hours, with an outside temperature of over 30°C.”

“During questioning, it became apparent that this was not a matter of forgetting the child, but it was an intentional act so the child would not cause inconvenience once in the house,” the statement mentioned.
Parrott was arrested and is currently in Tuscarawas County Jail with a bond of $250,000. He is charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter, and two counts of endangering children.
55°C, no fluids, no AC, nothing…
Ty Norris, detective of New Philadelphia, noted that it was about 55°C inside the car and that little Kyler was “strapped in a car seat without fluids, without air conditioning, nothing.”

The baby’s mother, Vanessa Parrott, was at work when this heartbreaking incident occurred. She was devastated by the loss of her son. Her girlfriend created a GoFundMe page to help Vanessa with funeral expenses and other costs while she continues to grieve her loss.
Heartbreaking
“It’s heartbreaking to see this happen before your eyes,” Norris said. “This is about this poor child and this poor mother just trying to work and pay bills and seek justice for them both.”
Kyler’s mother is now seeking justice for her son’s murder.
It is incredibly cruel what someone can do to a child, let alone their own parent.
We hope Kyler gets justice. Share this article so more people know his story and support his mother’s fight for justice.
