Two Canadian teenagers were walking in their town when they noticed a crowd gathered around a car.
Intrigued, they approached and peered under the car, stunned by what they found.
It happened in Saint Andrews, Canada, where two buddies, Jaydon Pettipas and Aidan Hart, stumbled upon this surprising sighting, as reported by CBC.
These two teens are now being applauded for their compassionate actions on that fateful day.
Just enjoying their day in the village, the boys noticed a commotion near a parked car. Intrigued, they investigated.
Everyone’s attention was fixed under the car. As the boys bent down for a closer look, they were met with a surprising sight.
There was a peculiar creature huddled beneath the vehicle.

The little creature turned out to be a small squirrel completely coated in foam insulation, rendering it unrecognizable.
One of the boys mentioned to CBC that although unsure what to do, he was resolute about assisting the animal.
They managed to find a box at a nearby store to safely house the squirrel and promptly contacted one of their mothers, who provided the address of a veterinary clinic. Once there, the distressed squirrel received much-needed care.

“I had never seen anything like it,” shared veterinarian Melanie Eagan with CBC.
After painstaking efforts, they were able to remove the foam from the squirrel. Melanie noted that the squirrel appeared to be nearly frozen and required warmth.

If the boys hadn’t intervened, the squirrel’s fate would likely have been tragic, according to the veterinarian.
The vet believed that there was no malicious intent involved, theorizing that the squirrel might have been residing in a garage hole and accidentally became ensnared in insulation foam during repairs.
The squirrel has since been released back into the wild, hopefully avoiding a similar ordeal in the future!
