The Brave Doberman: From Biting to Rescuing – A True Heroic Tale

Big dogs and little children, it can be a risky combination. Most people who have big dogs and small children assume it’s completely safe, but they’re not always right.

When Catherine Svillicic held her little daughter Charlotte close to her large Doberman, many people frowned.

Doberman Khan was rescued from a home where he was neglected. Khan was beaten, kicked, and received no love. The dog was used to living in a violent and aggressive environment.

Convinced that the dog is harmless

Animal lover Catherine, however, was convinced that her dog was harmless and only needed some love.

Soon it became clear who was right and who was wrong, reports Daily Mail.

When Charlotte was 17 months old, she was playing in the yard. Next to her was Khan, who had just been adopted by the family.

“Khan became aggressive and attacked Charlotte. He tried to push her, but couldn’t,” says Catherine Svilicic.

“The dog then grabbed her by the diaper and threw her a meter over her shoulder, as if she were a doll,” she says.

Everything happened very quickly, and the mother panicked.

“Charlotte seemed shocked, and Khan growled as if he was being attacked.”

Dog saves child from danger in the grass

Soon Catherine saw what was really going on and why Khan had grabbed her daughter. The brave dog had noticed a poisonous snake in the grass.

“I realized that he was trying to protect her, that’s why he grabbed her by her diaper, to get her away from there,” she says.

Thanks to Khan’s quick action, the poisonous snake was prevented from attacking the young child.

Bitten by a snake

But Khan had a terrible day, on the other hand.

When the Doberman was bitten by the snake, he had to go to the vet right away. There he was treated for the venom.

“He saved her life by risking his own life,” says Catherine.

“From now on, we call him Khan the Wonder Dog.”
