The Dance of These Students to a Classic Film is Going Viral Worldwide

Let’s go back in time. To 1939, when Victor Fleming directed an American musical film starring a teenage girl named Judy Garland — based on the book of the same name.

78 years later, “The Wizard of Oz” remains a beloved classic. We all know Judy Garland’s rendition of “Over the Rainbow,” and the iconic characters like The Lion and The Scarecrow.

But you’re about to witness something entirely new with these high school students’ take on the classic.

In late September, dance students from Walden Grove High School in Sahuarita, Arizona, delivered a remarkable performance during a sports event in their gymnasium.

And it was a performance that left a lasting impression on everyone.

It all begins with “Judy Garland” singing the timeless “Over the Rainbow.” But what follows is a transformation into a breathtakingly intricate dance featuring all the familiar characters from the film.
