The Mystery of My Daughter’s Facial Swelling: A Mother’s Shocking Revelation

After celebrating her 2nd birthday, Sienna Duffield developed a strange rash on her face, leaving her mother, Savina French-Bell, deeply concerned.

It took eight long months for doctors to determine the cause of Sienna’s severe rash.

“It looked like someone had thrown acid on her face, spreading from her mouth to her cheeks and above her eyes,” Savina shared with Inside Edition.

Sienna’s condition deteriorated, resulting in painful blisters that bled, making it difficult for her to eat and causing constant discomfort.

Initially misdiagnosed as eczema or an allergy, Sienna’s rash worsened to the point where she had to be hospitalized and fed through an IV.

Recounting the events preceding her daughter’s rash, Savina recalled a family member with herpes who had kissed Sienna eight months earlier.

It was revealed that Sienna had been infected with the herpes simplex virus type 1, leading to the appropriate treatment by the doctors.

Thankfully, Sienna’s skin eventually healed, allowing her to resume normal activities without the painful rash.

Savina now cautions parents about the risks of letting anyone kiss their children, emphasizing how easily infections can be transmitted to young and sensitive individuals.

Previously, we covered the story of Claire Henderson, whose daughter almost died from oral herpes transmitted through a kiss.

It’s essential for parents of young children to understand the dangers posed by such infections and to share this information widely.
