A Complete Unknown actress Monica Barbaro made her SAG Awards debut tonight, and she did it solo, without new beau Andrew Garfield on the red carpet.

The star wore a red Dior gown, and during the ceremony, she sat at a table with her co-stars including Timothée Chalamet:
Monica Barbaro had two nominations for tonight: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, which she shares with her co-stars.
Andrew Garfield is not nominated this year and is also not presenting. Considering all this, his absence from the show is not surprising since he has no other obligation to be there other than to support his new girlfriend.
New Relationship
News of the relationship between Monica Barbaro and Andrew Garfield emerged on Friday. The couple was filmed attending a play together in London hours before a source told People that the actors were dating and ‘spending quiet time together’.
Neither Barbaro nor Garfield have spoken much about their love lives in interviews. Andrew Garfield even told Esquire in October that this is not up for discussion. ‘I have never, and will never, discuss, confirm or deny with anyone anything about my personal life,’ he said.
Monica Barbaro, however, enjoys talking about her professional relationships, including what it was like to work with TimothĂ©e Chalamet. Barbaro played Joan Baez opposite the actor’s Bob Dylan in the biopic.
She spoke with ELLE.com in December about how she and Chalamet saved their first meeting ‘until we had our first music rehearsal… It all had to do with music in a beautiful way, because that’s how Bob and Joan initially met, in the music scene. She was at the height of her career, and he was incredibly talented. So that when we got together to rehearse, that was one of the first times I sang live to a full room. I just felt very supported by [Chalamet] and his voice and his work and everything he put into his character. I had heard his pre-records, and I knew how well he was doing at picking up Bob’s voice and lyrics. To get to do that live with him was just a completely magical experience.’
