Thrown off balcony and abandoned: heartless owners reject ‘ugly’ dog

I will never understand what goes on in the minds of people who hurt animals. As terrible as it is, there are many people who lack conscience.

However, what these animal abusers must not forget is that the survival instinct of animals is much stronger than one might think. The small dog Celia is a living example of this.

Celia had bad luck and ended up in a family that did not take care of her. Fortunately, the story ended with a happy ending.

The son of the family came up with the idea to simply throw the dog down from the balcony, where a friend would catch him.

Paws crushed

Unfortunately, the young man below could not catch the dog, and the animal fell to the ground, causing his paws to be crushed.

The organization PETA was contacted by the family, who defend animals, and asked what they could do.

Celia needed surgery, but the family could not afford it. Moreover, they didn’t think it was worth spending so much money on their dog because they just found her “too ugly”. That’s what PETA wrote on their website.

“She was in unbearable pain when PETA staff found her. She approached us and wagged her tail,” it says.

“She still shines”

PETA took Celia to a shelter where one of her legs had to be amputated.

One of the organization’s staff even became attached to the sweet, cheerful dog.

“She may have lost a leg, but she still shines,” she says.

Celia charmed many people, so she was soon adopted by a lovely family where she will receive the love she deserves.
