According to local authorities, the accident occurred when a young woman swerved to avoid another car, leading to a collision with the Polzin sisters’ vehicle.
The sisters, Kaeyle Lynn Polzin (22) and Sara Summerlyn Polzin (16), tragically lost their lives in the accident.
Their parents, Mike and Lori, were on a family outing at the time, with a third sister, Sara, who sustained a broken collarbone in the crash.
In a GoFundMe campaign set up to assist with funeral costs, the grieving mother expressed, “We cannot blame anyone. This was an accident. A huge, unavoidable tragedy.”
