Garbage truck drivers are often unexpected heroes for animals. It’s not rare for them to encounter animals inadvertently ending up in the garbage, whether they were searching for food together or deliberately discarded.
Many garbage truck drivers exceed expectations to assist them.
One such individual rescued a dog that had entered his truck. Through his vigilance and compassion, the dog narrowly escaped a dire situation.
As per the Capital Area Humane Society, in Michigan, an employee of Granger Waste Services discovered an unexpected passenger in his truck during his early morning rounds on July 19.
The unexpected visitor was a small white dog. It remains a mystery how she found herself in the waste collection service, considering the route was for commercial dumpsters, implying the dog faced quite a journey before being discovered.
“It’s almost unbelievable that she survived being dumped from a container, into a garbage truck, and then enduring the journey and unloading process,” the Capital Area Humane Society shared on Facebook.
