Lindsey and Daria from Belgium were puzzled by their cat’s behavior and made several visits to the vet.
However, the actual cause of the cat’s strange actions took them by surprise.
Last autumn, while in Spain, Lindsey and Daria came across an unexpected companion.
It was a small stray kitten that seemed hungry and dirty.
The kitten started following the couple around, and they quickly developed a fondness for the orange furball.
After some time, they decided to bring the cat back to Belgium with them.
“I think that’s when he knew he was safe and had found his forever home. We definitely did,” Lindsey told The Dodo.

Cat brought home
Upon returning to Belgium, they named the kitten Kaizar. Kaizar joined Fryssa, the chihuahua, as part of the family.

Initially, Kaizar was timid and anxious, but he found comfort and security in Fryssa’s presence.
“We joke all the time that he probably mistook her for a cat because he absolutely hates dogs,” Lindsey shared with the site.
The cat adored his new big sister and always wanted to be by her side.
“They managed to make it work”
Gradually, the animals started getting accustomed to each other and enjoyed playing together.
“Initially, it was challenging when they didn’t know how to interact with each other, but they figured it out,” Lindsey explained to The Dodo.
However, a concerning incident involving Kaizar prompted the owners to seek help from the vet.
“We thought cats only pant when they’re sick or thirsty,” Lindsey mentioned. “But after three unnecessary vet trips, it turned out he was just copying his big sister.”

Today, Kaizar and Fryssa are inseparable best friends who do everything together. They play together, and Fryssa even taught Kaizar how to howl and walk on a leash.
“Since we met Kaizar, there hasn’t been a dull moment,” Lindsey shared with The Dodo.

What an amazing bond they share!
