For many girls, getting married is a lifelong dream where perfection is key, often meticulously planned well in advance.
Some opt to hire a wedding planner to ensure a flawless big day…
However, for one unfortunate bride, nothing could have prepared her for the shocking turn of events on her special day.
Kelly had recently experienced mosquito bites during her bachelorette party in Costa Rica. Ignoring it with a mere application of ointment, the celebrations continued.
Upon returning home for her wedding, Kelly noticed something amiss. She became hysterical, screaming, and displaying erratic behavior.
Sensing movement in her head, Kelly’s behavior alarmed her mother, who questioned her sanity. Others attributed it to pre-wedding stress.
Convinced of a serious issue, Kelly sought help from Dr. Edward Panacek.
During Dr. Panacek’s examination, he suspected the issue and proceeded with a needle.
It soon became evident that Kelly was not experiencing a mental breakdown.
After a brief procedure, Dr. Panacek unearthed a large larva from Kelly’s neck, but the horror didn’t end there.
More larvae were extracted from her head, revealing that a mosquito in Costa Rica had deposited botfly larva eggs under her skin, which hatched on her wedding day.
