Witnessing animal abuse can be enraging for many people.
In a disturbing incident in Colorado, two individuals are accused of circulating a video showing a horse being cruelly dragged by a car.
The horse, named Trigger, was tethered to the back of the vehicle as it was driven forward against its will. Despite Trigger’s attempts to resist, the driver proceeded to start the engine with the horse still tied to the truck.

Suddenly, the vehicle began moving, dragging the helpless horse for approximately 100 meters. This distressing video sparked outrage among animal rights activists worldwide on social media, as reported by CNN.
The prosecutor confirmed that the owners will face charges of animal abuse.
“We have been inundated with calls and emails from outraged individuals regarding this incident. We are unable to discuss specifics due to ethical reasons, but those interested may attend the trial,” stated prosecutor Matt Karzen in a Facebook message to McGill Media.
“Cases involving children or animals as victims are particularly sensitive. Investigations in such cases often take longer than anticipated,” explained Chief Inspector Brett Schroetlin.
Driver testifies: “I was wrong”
The injured horse was promptly taken to a vet for assessment of injuries and trauma. It is now under proper care and safe.
One of the suspects expressed remorse for the act in a statement to CNN.
“Sometimes a bad choice can have severe consequences. I lost my job, angered many people, and caused tremendous suffering to my horse. I deeply regret my actions,” the driver confessed.
