Coming to terms with the fact that our appearance changes over time is an undeniable part of life.
Getting older inevitably means that our bodies change, sometimes in ways we may not necessarily want. In an ideal world, everyone would stay young, fresh, and healthy throughout life. But last time I checked, the ideal world doesn’t exist, but the real world does.
Aging
No, as the years go by, it’s normal for things like our eyesight and hearing to deteriorate. Our hair turns gray, our skin becomes looser and shows wrinkles, and even our muscles weaken. Simply put: we leave our youth behind and are forced to accept that we are aging and no longer in the prime of our lives. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with that, but it doesn’t mean we can’t be a little jealous of those people whose appearance seems to defy Father Time.
A mother from California, known as Gym Tan, has gained a lot of followers on social media due to her amazing looks at the age of 63.
She is a self-proclaimed fitness enthusiast and regularly posts on TikTok, where she astounds her followers with her tireless attitude to keep her body in the best possible condition.
In a recent video, Gym Tan stated that she believes she is like a fine wine: the older, the better. She added, “I’ve said before that I think I look younger this year than last year.”

Age is Just a Number
Cosmetic companies and the behavior of many Hollywood celebrities want us to believe that the only secret to maintaining a radiant appearance is through surgeries, fillers, or expensive lotions. Gym Tan, however, takes a more modest approach.
According to her, the best beauty secrets revolve around maintaining a positive outlook on life and not dwelling too much on your age.
“Age is just a number,” the 63-year-old told her followers in a video.
“I’ve said it before, but focus on what makes you happy. Focus on what makes you feel good.”
Not only that, but Gym Tan also advocated for the benefits of surrounding yourself with loving friends and family.
In any case, it appears the California mom’s wisdom and age-defying looks have struck the right chord on social media.
“I run farther and harder than when I was twenty,” she said.
Now, we must emphasize that nothing is more important than feeling comfortable in your own body. Height, weight, hair color, and body type matter little when compared to confidence and self-love.
